Beauty and the Beast: Twin exhibitions at the Mark Twain House & Museum

Now through, January 21 2018,  351 Farmington Ave. Hartford

 The Mark Twain House & Museum presents a pair of new exhibitions, Renewing the Royal Chamber: The Clemenses’ Mahogany Suite Reborn and Twain’s Temper: Top Ten Tantrums and Righteous Rages, under the collective title Beauty and the Beast. The exhibitions will be on view March 23, 2017 through January 21, 2018.

The Harriet Beecher Stowe Center Salon at Stowe  Bystander Intervention

Hartford, CT – What would you do if you witnessed sexual violence — from sexual harassment to sexual assault?
The Harriet Beecher Stowe Center presents Salons at Stowe with the topic Bystander Intervention on November 16, 5:30-7 PM at the Stowe Center. The event is free and open to the public thanks to members, donors and sponsors.
 
Featured guest is Laura Cordes, Executive Director, Connecticut Alliance to End Sexual Violence.
